穿
chuān
to wear

dài
to wear

They both mean “to wear”, but 穿- chuān is used for clothes or shoes, and 戴- dài is used for accessories. Some people are confused about these two, but I have an easy way to help you. If you don’t 戴- dài something, you still can go out, like:

戴手表。
Wǒ dài shǒubiǎo.
I wear my watch.

And if you don’t 穿- chuān something, you’d better stay at home, like

我穿衣服。
Wǒ chuān yīfu.
I wear my clothes.

我穿鞋子。
Wǒ chuān xiézi.
I wear my shoes.
