玛丽:中村,日本的大学早上几点上课?
中村:大部分是九点,我们学校是八点五十分。
玛丽:几点下课?
中村:十点半。
玛丽:北京大学早上八点上课,太早了。

Mǎlì: Zhōngcūn, Rìběn de dàxué zǎoshang jǐ diǎn shàngkè?
Zhōngcūn: Dà bùfen shì jiǔ diǎn, wǒmen xuéxiào shì bā diǎn wǔshí fēn.
Mǎlì: Jǐ diǎn xiàkè?
Zhōngcūn: Shí diǎn bàn.
Mǎlì: Běijīng Dàxué zǎoshang bā diǎn shàngkè, tài zǎo le.

Mary: Zhongcun, what time in the morning do universities in Japan usually start class?
Zhongcun: Most of them start class at nine; (but) at our school it's eight-fifty.
Mary: What time do you get out of class?
Zhongcun: Ten-thirty.
Mary: At Peking University, we start class at eight in the morning, it's too early!


玛丽:大卫,讲座几点开始?
大卫:六点。
玛丽:现在几点?
大卫:差一刻六点。
玛丽:谢谢!一会儿见。

Mǎlì: Dà wèi, jiǎngzuò jǐ diǎn kāishǐ?
Dà wèi: Liù diǎn.
Mǎlì: Xiànzài jǐ diǎn?
Dà wèi: Chà yíkè liù diǎn.
Mǎlì: Xièxie! Yīhuìr jiàn.

Mary: David, what time does the lecture start?
David: Six o'clock.
Mary: What time is it now?
David: A quarter to six.
Mary: Thanks. See you soon.
