Use 希望 in front of a verb or verb phrase to indicate someone’s desire for something to happen.
"伊朗新领导层希望恢复谈判。"
Already finished actions are expressed by adding 已经/已 before the verb and 了 afterward (or implied).
"他已同意进行对话。"
"过去数周参与谈判的部分伊朗官员已经不在了。"
Use 也 to show that the subject agrees with or shares the same action/feeling as another subject.
"他们想谈,我也同意谈。"
本来 introduces what should have happened, followed by 但/却 to contrast with what actually occurred.
"那本来是非常实际且容易做到的事情,但他们等得太久了。"
当…时 introduces a time clause, explaining when the main action takes place.
"当被问及对话时间时,特朗普说“不便透露”。"
