既然...那就...Since...then...HSK 5

Used to express logical consequence. 既然 introduces a known fact or condition, and 那就 introduces the natural conclusion or action that follows from it.

"既然要一直亮屏放在桌面上,那就不能只是几个生硬的数字。"

"既然iPad已经立在桌面上了,如果只能看时间,那它的效率还是太低。"

要么...要么...Either...or...HSK 4

Used to present two or more alternatives, often with a negative connotation suggesting neither option is ideal. Similar to 'either...or...' in English.

"要么是样式太死板(比如翻页钟),要么是广告满天飞。"

为了...(而)...In order to...HSK 4

Expresses purpose or goal. 为了 introduces the purpose, followed by the action taken to achieve it. 而 is optional but adds emphasis.

Used to connect two parallel qualities or characteristics of the same subject, emphasizing that both attributes exist simultaneously.
